Have noticed a small movement in the handelbars on the CB accompanied by a creaking noise. Not noticeable when driving but its kind of doing my head in regardless. Suspect its the rubber inserts in the fork top (the bit that the risers fit into) that have perished which is resulting in about a millimetre of play.
Anyone have any ideas on how to remove these, are they glued in or is it even possible to get them out?
Can buy a whole new assembly (about eur250 from Silvers – ouch!) but may have the same problem with a second hand item so am going for the cheap option first.
