Hyobag starving at high revs

Hyobag starving at high revs

Well lads. I’m having a problem with the Hyobag (more than it just being Korean and cheap) :lbhbh: It’s an 07 GT125R.

It gets starved of fuel after a couple of minutes at high revs, bogs down and slowly dies over about 10 seconds or so. The previous owner mentioned this problem to me when I bought it. He said it might be the tank breather on the top being blocked. I’m not so sure, as I pulled over today and just let it sit for a minute and then rode on again with no problems. I have tried popping the filler cap open to break any vacuum inside, but I didn’t do that today and it ran a minute later.

I think the carbs are having trouble refilling. I replaced the fuel filter recently with a new one and it hasn’t fixed the problem. Fuel pump (vacuum operated) was replaced by previous owner last year to no avail. Bike runs fine whenever I’m not pinned in top gear (which is rare because it’s so gutless that you have to), for the twisties and such. Any ideas?
