Running a bike without dust seals on the brake calipers.
Was giving the brake pistons on the Busa a clean, and no less than 3 dust seals began to come out as I pumped the pistons out, with some salt/crud? behind. (Its was a year round daily commuter before I bought it last year.) Anyway, I have neither the time nor inclination to do a caliper rebuild (as I’ve just spent a hell of a lot of hours and cash getting my fireblade track ready.)
Cleaned them up and smeared some rubber grease and refitted. No binding and all seems to be working aok.

She’s a mostly dry weather bike now and I do keep on top of maintainence.
So…will I have problems by not using dust seals for a bit? What do you reckon?
Cheers for any info as always..
Ps. I will eventually get seals and a rebuild, but I’m interested to hear your opinions.
