Right just to start off- I have no idea about electrics so bare with me.
I think the rectifier burnt out in my RVF 400. We replaced it with an R6 rectifier and no joy.
long story:
My lovely RVF one day decided not to start, flat battery it sounded like so we jump started it- no joy. Replaced battery. She worked Fine. Got about 3 miles down the road headlights started getting dim, pulled in clutch and she just died. Spent ages jump starting again. The rectifier was literally on fire- should not be that hot. 5 min up he road she’s loosing power and just cuts out completely.
We replaced the rectifier with 5 pin R6 one last night. Tried bump starting it and still no joy.
Anyone know anyone who can help me fix my baby? I really don’t care what it takes :'(
