Lads I’ve an ’11 street triple, only about 2,000kms on it. Picked it up a few weeks ago.

It had been sitting up for a while but got it ‘health checked’ by triumph. All good.

I’m concerned about a rattle that appears when the bike is cold, and disappears when the bike is warmed up after 3 mins or so.

The rattle is coming from the right hand side of the engine casing.

Have read on other forums that it might be the cam chain tensioner…

Anyone any experience with this on street triples?

Could it be failing this early on?
