I’m experiencing strange behaviour of my VFR. (’05 model with V-Tec). Every once in a while while taking off for a split second I’m getting very sudden spike in revs. Feels almost as if I opened the throttle in full for a short moment. Then everything backs to normal.

First few times I didn’t pay any attention – I thought: ‘crap rider – opened the throttle too much’. But this is happening more and more often (like twice a week, or so).

This happens almost exclusively when I’m starting from stationary and every time it happens it causes ‘brown pants’ moment.

Any thoughts, anyone? I’m starting to be paranoid.
