Alright folks! long time listener, first time caller. Have a not so quick question,well two. I’ve a 2000 4xv r1 with what appears to be a clutch issue.when the bikes cold it won’t disengage the clutch resulting in the bike creeping forward and not being able to select neutral.when the bike warms up it seems to ease up but still difficult to find neutral and gears selection is similar to a dog box in a rally car.seems to have been as a result to missing a gear.replaced the outer basket(€900 +VAT) and the steel/friction plates(all OEM)it’s been 6 months with one mechanic who couldn’t figure out the root cause and has now been at the current mechanic with about a month….with similar results.(both have bags of experience)basically just picked up a 2nd hand whole clutch kit to see as a last ditch effort…..any words of wisdom from Ye yam hero’s??? And two….What would I be realistically expecting to get for it as is if this doesn’t sort it? Tyres about 60%,fairings in good nick.was running mighty before the auld vagina wobble!
