I’m sure there’s split opinions on these,I’m a bit undecided myself still….be interesting to hear people’s thoughts on them,particularly those living with them long term.

Having just gotten a proper spin on a Africa Twin DCT….well it’s bloody impressive, but I’m still not sure I’d have one over a manual,and I can’t really see why I wouldn’t, with the obvious lack of a clutch lever and gear pedal put aside you can pretty much do anything the manual offers,but in a much more efficient way.Seamless up and downshifts with the paddles,can drop a gear or upshift while in auto mode etc. which I think is great that you don’t have to switch over to semi or fully auto for that to be an option. It’s a damn good bike,and if I was getting one I think I’d be having a difficult time choosing between a manual and auto!!
