best place/shops for streetfighter parts for cbr 929 and tyips on building a fighter

Hey my buddy picked up a 929 fi for handy money, I will do the work on her for him as he himself admitted he would not know the difference from a hammer and a screwdriver and its his 3rd bike in 12 years. He could not afford the big money for a buy and drive liter bike so when this came up he jumped on it, tis my summer holidays so it be something for me to do with him and have a bit of craic at the same time.

, she would need a lot to get her back to like new but we never intended doing that, we want to and have started chopping a bit and make a well decent fighter outta her, well chopping as taking the body ,work and stripping her down to her knickers:woots:.

She is the first blade I ever rode and tbh as a gixxer man my whole riding life I have to say she is a defo fantastic bike that would put a smile io your face every day.

The fairings and tail and front end are in shit, very bad paint job(very bad is a serious understatement), I would like to stick a r6 tail on her or just cut her shorty from the seat , not sure yet really but its a project for my summer holidays so I will take my time and do it right.
The only thing im for certain is that I will paint her black if im allowed. you cant go wrong with black in my book

I was looking on ebay and aliexpress and there are a lot of headlight units from skulls to many various designs and they dont come with any instructions and say they will fit all models from Suzuki to apprillas which is horse shit but they cant be that hard to figure out going from light to full beam is all they are really but its the quality Id be more concerned about.

we might pick a integrated tail light with blinkers led that are cheap enough on ebay and the likes but its the fitting of these , would Id be just better with a stock r6 tail?

Before he bought anything cosmetic based I have all ready ordered for him from wemoto a wheel and sprocket bearing set, and headstock bearings, caliper rebuild kits, pads, also a new feeler gauge for the valve clearances and I downloaded a manual a factory one and printer her off.
The fork seals are good and so are the dust seals so going to leave em alone for now.
The brake rotors front are fucked the pads that fell out were worn past the meat and they were wafer thin so is the rotor but he cant afford to replace them for a good while, the rear wear not as bad.
New c&s too needed , will be ordering the jt sprockets and the chain .
we got a set of braided hoses for 20 on ebay
budget after all the parts that were got so far is about 50 a week around 6/700 over the summer.

any tips or advice from lads on here that have built a few fighters would be well appreciated. website stores and forums etc.
I have seen the pics of the seats that veer up at the tail and other designs that looked good but would like to keep it as simple and cost effective as possible.

thanks, will upload a few pics when i head back over during the week.:thumbsup2:
