I live and work in Dublin city center. My bike is used daily to commute to work ,spins on the weekend and driven one or two weekends a month up and down the motorway to dungarvan in Waterford – 140 miles each way,

I had a z750r which was doing all of the above, and i recently sold it as it was not practical comfort wise or economical considering the amount of miles i was doing on it – about 800/1000 miles per month.

I was looking to get something like the Cb 500x (2014,15,16) as i believe it would be good and nimble around the city and economical.

My only concern is how it would fare on the motorway, where id normally be cruising at 80/90mph, and how would it fare with someone on the back too, as id often have her on the back.

Ive done a bit of research, watched he reviews etc, they seem to get good praise, power/torque seems fine to me, comfortable supposedly. even on a motorway sitting at 80 shes at 6000 out of 9000rpm and theyre seems to be no problems and plenty left , supposedly theyre designed to rev high?

I dont think id miss the power of the bigger bike, i had a bros 400 and that was fine for me. Just want to be able to get around.Just wondering does anyone have any experience with one, or if anyone could give me some advice on why it would or would not suit my requirements.
