A question for our brethren from across the seas coming to live in Ireland. I was trying to get my girlfriend on my policy as a named driver today and I was told that she’d have to be resident in the country for 3 years before they’d insure her. Have any of you run into this trouble when coming to Ireland and trying to find a new insurance policy? If so how did you get around it? Is this standard policy or does it differ by each insurance company?
