In the event of a hard Brexit Principal Insurance Limited will no longer be permitted to trade in Ireland through a branch, therefore we have established a new Irish entity, Principal Insurance Ireland DAC, which is currently going through the authorisation process with the Central Bank of Ireland.

Once Principal Insurance Ireland DAC is authorised, we will transfer all business activities of Principal Insurance Limited’s Irish branch to Principal Insurance Ireland DAC. This transfer will have no impact on the services we provide to you other than that you will become a customer of Principal Insurance Ireland DAC and cease to be a customer of Principal Insurance Limited. We will still be based at our current address and the team you are used to dealing with at Principal will be unchanged.

We are obliged by the Central Bank to notify you of this proposed change in advance in case you wish to make alternative arrangements as a result of the transfer of business.
