How are you`s? I`m in trouble again……

So I take the bike out this morning knowing I had put her in reserve last night. was sure i`d have enough petrol to get me to a garage. turns out I didn`t . So pushed her the rest of the way. (not too far thank f~@k). filled her up and got her started with no issues. Rode her probably about a mile and she just stopped. Engine cut out. I got a smell of burning and looked down…. Smoke bellowing from under the seat. couldn`t get the seat off to see where it was coming from. left her for a while and tried to start her again. faint lights on the dash but not a tinkle from the starter. Pushed her home. (2 1/2 mile. I`m fooked)

So my question is……… Where do I start? have the seat off now and fairings striped to get a look in, but I don`t see anything burnt. All the fuses are good. not getting a light on the dash at all now. put one of those cheep testers on the battery and she was reading poor. so have the battery out and on charge as we speak. What should I look out for?? anything imperticular I should check while Im waiting??
