hi lads i started stripping down the fazer yesterday evening,i want to repaint the frame black it has a few rust spots on it.i also am gonna respray the wheels the engine and the exhaust downpipes .the fairings and tank are in great nick so no need touch that.my father does a lot of sandblasting,truck bodies,plant diggers that sort of crack.he uses a medium/coarse glass for blasting.i know the frame will be fine to blast with this but not so sure about the aluminium wheels i think itl be too severe,am i right should i just use paint stripper and wire brush and plenty elbowgrease same with engine.what about the exhaust down pipes they are chromeish,will vht stick to chrome or will i run the blaster on these aswel.i wont even ask my father about the aluminium ,he would try blast a ham sandwich.advice please and this bike cost me €800 euro and im not gonna get it powdercoated.its an execellent job but im not puting a hape of money into this project itl probarbly never see rain again and do about 1k miles a year if that.and i like muckin about myself:thumbsup2:
