Eugene Laverty hopes to make his World Superbike comeback it Italy next month as he continues his recovery from a wrist injury.

The Toomebridge rider sustained injuries to both wrists during practice at Imola on 10 May.

Laverty also missed three rounds of the WSBK Championship last year through injury after an accident in Thailand.
